• 3D scanning is the process of capturing digital information about the shape of an object with equipment that uses a laser or light to measure the distance between the scanner and the object. 3D scanning is also known as 3D Imaging, Laser Scanning, Laser Digitizing, and Digital Shape Sampling & Processing (DSSP).

• All materials, machines and machine time are included as part of academic study and growth.  All projects that are required for a class have NO cost.

• For individual ideas and projects created outside of school requirements there is a nominal cost for materials and machine time. For 3D Scanning:    

  • • There is no cost to use the scanner, but you will need to pay the cost for 3D printing the object if you choose to print it. 

  • You will get a price quote before your file is printed and jobs must be paid for before they are completed.
