On-line marking and feedback has a wide range of proven practical and pedagogic benefits. For example:
Students can:
- remain anonymous where anonymous marking applies
- access their feedback at a time and place which suits them, and in the same location online as their original submission
Tutors can:
- access student work at a time and place which suits them
- avoid carrying around heavy loads of paper
- use Turnitin originality reports to detect plagiarism and instances of poor referencing (subject to the Faculty Policy on the use of Turnitin)
- easily identify how many, and which, students have accessed their feedback
