One of the key benefits of OLAF is the immediacy with which students can access their feedback irrespective of time and location. But only if they know how and students do report being uncertain how to find the formative and summative comments academics leave on online submissions.
What can I do?
- Ensure students can access the ‘how to’ guide by placing it in your module guides and Moodle entries. It is also advisable to demonstrate this in class as part of your preparatory advice on the assessments.
What else?
- There are many more ways in which you can provide effective feedback to your students using, for example, audio feedback.
- You can also refer to our ‘OLAF in Action’ case studies to see how your colleagues are putting new ways of providing feedback into practice.
