The multidisciplinary research team has a strong track record of being awarded research funding, both from the UK Research and Innovation funding body and the European Horizon programme. The team comprises the following members, from two separate faculties within Oxford Brookes University.
School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment Team:
Mr Michal Krezalek
Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences Team:
External collaborators:
Dr. Joe Yapp, Brighton and Sussex Medical School
Ms. Sandra Banares-Aldea, Bristol Medical School
The team is collaborating with Cognitant, who are global providers of patient-centric health information. We also have a highly engaged team of people, who themselves have Type 1 Diabetes, providing Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) to the project. Cognitant visited the Cave in October 2022.
You can read about our previous work with Cognitant in the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology. The CAVEPET study is based on the same principles and content.
This project is funded by an Oxford Brookes University Research Excellence Award.
