Think of an issue or injustice that you think is important and should be protested about.
Do some research about an organisation that campaigns about this issue. Some examples could include Black Lives Matter, Extinction Rebellion, LGBTQIA+ Pride.
Design a protest sign or poster to raise awareness of the issue.

The Black Lives Matter movement highlights police targeting based on race, and is often associated with calls to defund the police. In this activity, you can think more about what this means in practice and how it could be achieved.

Reflect and respond to these questions:
Do you think the police should be defunded or abolished completely?
What could replace policing?
What are the benefits and challenges of defunding the police?
How do these ideas about the USA relate to policing in the UK?
