You may be traveling from just round the corner, or have a journey of several hours to get to Brookes. Whatever your travel plans are, this page will help you with everything you need to know about getting to us on the day.
Meeting Point
Meet at the reception in the John Henry Brookes Building .
As a Brookes Engage participant, all of your travel costs will be covered by the travel bursary system. To calculate how much you will be paid, you should submit the bank details form so that we know how you will travel, and how many miles your journey is. (Travel is paid at a rate of 44p per mile).
If your journey costs you more than the bursary you receive, keep your tickets/receipt and we will pay you the difference.
We will do our best to ensure your bursary is paid to you before you travel. If this is not possible, please be assured that you will be paid the money if you travel to us.
Car
Parking:
We strongly advise you not to come by car unless absolutely necessary, since parking is very restricted in the city and on the campuses. If you wish to come by car, we recommend you use the Park & Ride bus services. The park and ride car parks are clearly signposted as you approach the city and the service is frequent all day.
If you need to park on campus, please park in either the Headington Hill Car Park, or the Clerici Car Park. There is a car parking charge of £12 to park in the University car parks. If you do not have enough travel budget to cover this cost after you have paid for fuel, please let us know and we will refund you the cost
