Kākano 1 - Bromley School
Kia ora everyone. This is our new website that we made for other kids and adults to learn about Māui and the story of 'Te Ika ā Māui'.
We hope you enjoy exploring our 'Te Ika ā Māui' website and that you learn some Te Reo Māori.
By Ayden, Mila and Archie
Our class hopes that by sharing our ideas and mahi on this website we can help other people learn some te reo Māori and get to know the story of 'Te Ika ā Māui'. We also hope that we can teach other tamariki about things like coding, how to make cool Lego and craft creations and show that even though we are only 5 and 6-years old, we can create awesome things :)
All of our content is created using Kai Tahu mita (dialect). Cultural responsiveness is authentic when using dialect, karakia, waiata etc appropriate for our local context. This is our way of paying respect to Kai Tahu and demonstrates our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
