The Uncivilized

Introduction

After studying the rise of early city-states, students design and create two projects from the perspective of the uncivilized, or those who lived outside city limits. The first project is a comic strip that explores how uncivilized people escaped the state. The other is a book project where students write a story expanding the ideas in the comic strip.
