The practical skills section of the Creative Media Project is where one uses the preparation from research to physically bring the concept to life. Practical skills do not have one definitive definition, however as a whole it insinuates the act of one having the skill or capability to create a final product. Within these 'practical skills' is the key skill of being flexible and being able to show both problem focused and solution focused thinking. Obstacles often arise in any project, so one should show not only pre-emptive problem solving, but also in the moment creative, solution-based thinking.
To gain a distinction in the practical skills section, my work should show that I have made use of my research and taken into account current trends or market research that I have conducted. My work should also be aesthetically pleasing, ambitious, unique and imaginative. I should evidence any problems that occurred along the way, how I solved these and how I came to my final product in the form of a production diary/log.
