During the event, including the Friday bump-in, if you have questions or concerns or need to direct a visitor to one of the event team, you can now look for one of the Crew Members in the black Crew Shirts.
Care Cart is back. Looking after you all weekend.
You'll receive your BB Dollars when you collect your Participant Pack on Friday or Saturday morning. Some retailers may be ready to accept them as early as Friday afternoon, so keep an eye out.
You can spend your BB Dollars at retailers, food vendors, or the merchandise stand throughout the weekend, right up until 2:00 pm on Sunday.
This is a firm cutoff. Any BB Dollars not spent by 2:00 pm Sunday cannot be used afterwards, so please plan your purchases with this in mind and don't leave your spending to the last minute.
First Aid services will once again be provided throughout the event by the Point Lookout Surf Life Saving Club (PLSLSC) Nippers.
If you or someone nearby requires first aid, please flag down the nearest Event Crew member. They will immediately contact the First Aid team, who will either come directly to your location or escort you to the First Aid area, depending on the situation.
Children under the age of 18, including Participants, must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
If a Participant under the age of 18 is found to have been left unsupervised, their emergency contact will be called, and their participation at BBX2026 may be terminated.
Shoes are the most vital piece of kit. The floor is concrete.
Your knees WILL get sore, and your feet WILL ache. Invest in good shoes now and give yourself time to break them in. Don't forget good socks too.
If possible, 2 pairs of good shoes are the way to go. First person to email events with the words happy feet wins a prize. By changing shoes at lunchtime, you not only adjust the pressure points on your feet, but gives your first pair of shoes time to rebound its innersole padding.
Chairs are not provided in volume by the RNA, so we would suggest investing in a portable chair to bring.
One thing to consider in your choice of chairs is most camping chairs are deep and low. If you plan to be up and down during the day, getting in and out of these low chairs gets harder towards the end of the day.
The upstairs area above the centre toilets will be open should you require a quiet spot to sit for a while to eat or just take a breath.
We just ask that if you're in the room that you keep a chilled and relaxed vibe. Loud and passionate conversations are best taken downstairs.
We also acknowledge that this area is only accessible by stairs, but we are working on an alternative area.
We're not defusing a bomb or trying to make it to Athens to declare victory against the Persians.
We are using an artistic medium that we love to make things that make other people happy.
This is supposed to be fun weekend, so pack good moods and chilled vibes.
The Crew have put in months of work to make it as easy as it can be made, and for a lot of it, you just have to go with the flow.
Remember, if something looks like it might be going wrong, it's going wrong for the Crew too, and they're the ones trying to fix it for you and everyone else.
