BUILD26 is the inaugural BUILD Series Challenge, a BrisBricks initiative designed to encourage new builders, younger members, and first-time exhibitors to take their first step into displaying, while challenging experienced builders to create more with less.
This program is specifically intended to give members who may never have exhibited before the opportunity to experience what it takes to exhibit at a BrisBricks LEGO show. From planning and building a display, through to presenting it to the public, BUILD26 provides an accessible pathway into the world of exhibiting.
Using just 26 parts within a 16×16 stud footprint, participants are challenged to create an original LEGO display that showcases creativity, storytelling, and clever design.
Because great ideas don't need thousands of pieces.
Rules
A build must contain 26 LEGO elements.
The entire build must fit within a 16×16 stud footprint (12.8 cm × 12.8 cm), but it does not have to be on a baseplate or plate.
All LEGO elements count toward the 26-part limit, including any baseplate or plate used.
A minifigure counts as 4 parts:
Legs = 1 part
Torso = 1 part
Head = 1 part
Hair, hat, helmet, or other headwear = 1 part
Animals count as 1 part unless constructed from multiple LEGO elements.
Effect devices such as motors, lighting, sound modules, foggers, or similar devices count as 1 part each.
A power source counts as 1 part regardless of the number of effect devices connected to it.
All entries must be original creations.
Official LEGO sets may be used as inspiration; however, entries must incorporate substantial changes and demonstrate significant original design work.
Who Can Participate?
For this first BUILD Series Challenge, entries are open to BrisBricks members and those connected to the Club through a current member, like family members and friends.
The application form will ask non-members to provide the name of the BrisBricks member they know and their connection to that member, simply so we know who introduced you to BUILD26 and can keep them listed as a backup contact point if required.
Participant Benefits
All accepted BUILD26 participants will receive:
An exclusive BBX2026 Participant Brick in recognition of being part of the show.
An exclusive BUILD26 Commemorative Brick.
A complimentary family pass to BBX2026, so your loved ones can come and see your creation on display.
Display Logistics
BUILD26 entries will be displayed together as a dedicated BUILD26 showcase within BBX2026.
The showcase will be presented on a shared display area with all entries grouped together and surrounded by bollards.
As this is a communal display space, individual seating areas will not be provided.
Participants may deliver their entry either:
On Friday during exhibitor bump-in, between 12:00pm and 8:00pm, or
On Saturday morning, between 7:00am and 8:30am, prior to the public opening.
One of the benefits of the BUILD26 showcase format is that participants are not required to remain with their display throughout the weekend. You are welcome to drop off your entry on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, enjoy the show as a visitor during the weekend, and return on Sunday afternoon to collect your creation.
