During bump-in and bump-out, the Loading Dock area is deemed a construction area - see PPE below.
Hi-vis clothing and closed-in shoes are mandatory during bump-in and bump-out in the Loading Dock area.
Wear other PPE wherever there's a risk of injury, wherever it's required, or whenever instructed by an Event Crew member or RNA staff.
All electrical equipment plugged into 240v brought on site, including participant displays, must be tested and tagged.
Piggybacking leads and double adaptors are forbidden.
Don't interfere with any electrical installation, and don't attempt to access RNA switchboards.
The RICC is equipped with defibrillator units, first aid kits, and a functioning first aid room. If you're working in other areas of the showgrounds, come prepared to be self-sufficient with basic first aid supplies.
If an incident occurs, report it to your nearest Event Crew member — they'll contact and escort first aid to you.
Report all incidents — including near misses, injuries, accidents, and any damage to RNA property — to Event Crew straight away.
Event Crew must notify a relevant RNA representative within 60 minutes and submit a completed RNA Incident Notification Form within 24 hours.

Stay within your designated assembly area until directed otherwise.
CCTV and building alarm systems cover all event areas. Report any suspicious behaviour to Event Security. RNA Security reserves the right to remove persons from the premises.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside RNA buildings, in vehicles, on rooftops, and in loading areas. Smoke only in designated smoking areas, and never within 5 metres of a doorway.
Pets are not permitted at the Brisbane Showgrounds during events - registered service animals with licensed handlers are welcome. For their own safety, children under 16 must be constantly supervised, but not allowed in the exclusion zone/loading area.
Help us give every BBX patron a safe, healthy, and enjoyable experience by maintaining personal hygiene standards and keeping event areas clean and tidy.
The RNA Code of Conduct and Values apply to everyone on site - exhibitors, staff, crew, and volunteers alike. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and any complaints of bullying, discrimination, or other inappropriate behaviour will be taken seriously.
If anything on this page is unclear, ask an Event Crew member on the day, or get in touch before the show through the usual BBX2026 channels. First person to email events with the words 'to the end' wins a prize.
