About Me

Hello! 

I'm a proud Brimfield alumna, class of '02, currently in my third year of teaching English Language Arts. I teach sophomore and senior English, helping students develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills. I also have the privilege of teaching dual credit English 110 and 111, where I help students enhance their writing, critical thinking, and communication skills. In addition to my teaching role, I serve as the Academic Challenge assistant coach, supporting students in rigorous academic-based endeavors.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Southern Illinois University, teacher certification from the University of Illinois, and a Master's in English from Bradley University.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors, gardening, cooking, traveling, and, of course, reading. I am passionate about lifelong learning and strive to inspire the same enthusiasm in my students.
