School districts identify and refer the DeafBlind student to the MN DeafBlind Project. The MN DeafBlind Project provides support to the School Team and the Family.
School districts determine the need for intervener services and contact the MN DeafBlind Project to reserve an intervener training spot.
School administrator contacts the MN DeafBlind Project to reserve the intervener training spot. The MN DeafBlind Project sends the electronic registration form to the administrator to confirm the spot.
Team members register for and attend the free "Understanding Deafblindness and the Role of the Intervener" August workshop.
MN DeafBlind Project provides the school team access to the Shared Drive: MN DeafBlind Resources for Special Educators.
School districts may request technical assistance for student-specific intervener support.
MN DeafBlind Project provides Weekend Intervener Training.
School teams may create a one-pager about the student which is created for/by the intervener and team.
