Weekly Challenge!

The counseling team has decided to put our social/emotional learning to the test. What better way to learn, and create lifelong habits, than to do! Every Monday we will establish a target for the week. This could be: fulfill an act of kindness, healthy eating, daily exercise, trying something out of your comfort zone, practicing mindfulness, etc. Be sure to take a picture of you fulfilling the challenge and upload it to the website by Sunday afternoon. On Monday, along with the release of our new challenge, we will feature your picture of you accomplishing the weekly challenge!

Week 1 Challenge!

Following the encouragement and positivity brought by the "Rainbows Over Michigan" trend, and many other locations around the world, we are challenging you to spread a Rainbow over Brighton!

Decorate your front windows, door or sidewalk with a Rainbow or art to inspire your family and your community!

Send a picture of your Rainbow to your counselor to be shared with others by Sunday, April 19th.

Week 2:

Togetherness Challenge

Take a picture of your family doing one of your most favorite activities together! This could be enjoying the outdoors, crafting inside, or a special family time tradition in your household! We are so excited to see our students with their families and also get ideas for what to do with our own! Enjoy spending time with your family!

Please share your picture with your school counselor by Sunday April, 26th.

McKiddy Family Togetherness!

Games and puzzles are some of our favorite things to do together!

Fox Family Togetherness!

We love getting out in nature by taking a walk in the woods.

Week 3:

Kindness Challenge

Find a way to spread some kindness to someone in your life. Write a letter, create a picture, help with yardwork, drop off a meal or baked goods, clean up garbage, or anything that you can think of to spread some kindness. Stay safe with good distance, but share your talents as a kind and helpful person in your community!

Please share your picture with your school counselor by Sunday, May 3rd.

Week 4: Get Moving Challenge!

Take at least 30 minutes to be active every day this week! Take a walk with your family or dog, play a sport, go on a hike, or use your imagination to create your own unique physical activity! Keep track of what you do to stay active with a picture, and send your favorite one to show us how you are making healthy choices for your body! Please share your picture with your school counselor by Sunday, May 10th.

Mrs. Fox LOVES to start the day with a bike ride and so does her son. He is in his cart ready to go!
