My name is Drew West and I am the middle school Art teacher at Bridges Prep.  This year we will be doing all different types of artwork, ranging from drawing, painting, collages, and even ceramics. First, let me tell you a few things about me.

I was born and raised here in beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina. I moved away during college while I attended the University of South Carolina. I majored in Art Education and got my BFA in education. My main focuses while in college were drawing and ceramics. After I got out of college, I began to practice a lot of watercolor painting and now these three mediums have become my favorite. This will be my 8th year teaching, and my 4th year at Bridges Prep.

Beaufort and its' wonderful waterways have brought me back home to be around family and friends. I am an avid fisherman and have been my whole life. Starting at a young age, my father and brother began taking me on the boat teaching me to fish and shrimp. I look forward to sharing my love for art and the beauty of our town with your children.
