Volunteer Mentors spend their City Year helping the children in schools who need help the most by acting as a student success coach and integrating social, emotional and academic learning to realise pupils' potential. Alongside teammates, volunteers help pupils engage with and enjoy learning through classroom, one-to-one and small group support. Volunteers will spend the year changing lives in schools and also get to take part in City Year UK’s CMI Accredited L3 Leadership Development Programme. Met Police – L6 Degree Apprenticeship or new Entry programme – for ages 17+ - No start or closing date listed

This is a job that comes with excellent pay and benefits and stability but with varied career progression and opportunities for promotion. Applicants could work in a wide variety of settings including working with dogs and horses, becoming a cybercrime specialist or keeping the River Thames safe in their Marine Unit.  Young people can apply from age 17 but must be 18+ to join the police.
