Note: These are slideshows for live presentations that students chose not to record. This was an option: to present to the class without recording the Senior Talk for further distribution and sharing. The following students would like to showcase their work, however, through an embedded copy of the slideshow.
If the student did not write a personal statement of purpose, context and background have been added next to the embedded slideshow.

My purpose for creating this project is to make people knowledgeable about comics, why a lot of these popular characters are coming out either as a sexuality or gender, and now being characterized as a different race/ethnicity, and being revealed as people with different mental disabilities and disorders. Being a person who is underrepresented because of sexuality and mental health, it is important to me to let people know why there's a big lack of representation. I am basically using this project as a way to create an answer sheet for representation in comics. I chose to focus on comics because in recent years it became a huge interest of mine; also because of their history with coding and other literary elements.

My main purpose is to educate people on the way that they think. I am going to add a test people can take before the video that they watch. I want students to understand why they think the way that they think because it helped me through my senior year after struggling with school after COVID.

My TED Talk matters to me because I think everyone can benefit in some way by watching anime. I think everyone should take some time to get out of their comfort zone and dive into a new art form. This presentation could matter to others also wanting to get into anime. This presentation not only shows how to get into anime but why you should.

Schools systems and those involved in them need to be more aware of disabilities of all the students underneath their care and must be more willing to offer proper treatments and outlets to those students and their families no matter how well or poorly they perform in their classes. Depriving a student of proper treatment for a potential disability just because they perform well in their classes is depriving them of their right to education.

Music is a powerful entity: it carries meaning, it carries a story, it conveys emotion in ways we can't convey. As people, we are expected to be social and communicate with one another, whether it be through physical or verbal expression. It sounds so simple, but it remains a difficult task: reminiscing on a memory, explaining your frustrations, conveying how you feel towards another and everything in between. But we aren’t forced to express ourselves in one way, we can paint our anger, dance our happiness, or resonate with a tune and it’s a beautiful loophole we apply.

A blueprint to those who just don't know what they want to do and also shuts down the idea that everyone has to do great things or impress people. The idea that we need to get a job that is either high paying, or pays high in esteem is a fallacy that most won't discover until way later on in life.
Jasiris Morales
BACKGROUND
Jasiris served as one of the case studies to help students branch out and select more authentic project topics. Here is how it was presented in the feedback packet:
[This project] distinguishes between “the overarching plot points, how characters develop over time, etc.,” and “the way the majority of the story is told.” Jasiris is going to argue that the narrative of Final Fantasy XIV fits the criteria for literary merit.

Distraction is inversely proportional to concentration, and distraction is nothing but the inner content of the mind's engagement with the person. Distraction refers to a mental state in which a person's mental activities cannot be fully directed and concentrated within a necessary time, or completely leave the things that should be directed and concentrated at the moment and transfer to unrelated things. When the intensity of your distraction is greater, your concentration is lower; when the intensity of your distraction is smaller, your concentration is higher.

I want to create this presentation to give advice to my fellow students. This presentation will cover topics they have never really thought or heard much about. I want to show the importance of building for retirement and get into the specific ideas behind it.

The only way we build our own awareness is through thoughtful concern of any situation. We are unable to if we are unaware. A stigma a mark of disgrace associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person. Stigmas are likely due to continued lack of discernment of issues through generational nurturing that is ignorant to said issues. We need to guide each other to the right paths. We all need help. We all have our faults. We are all human. We all need to remember that.
Ryan Ocana
BACKGROUND
Ryan's presentation covers some of the specific research and conclusions about how drug dependency affects mental health. More interestingly, he showcases musical artists who dealt with mental health problems. Sample lyrics and embedded songs illustrate how these artists navigated their own journeys.

Do you want to live a long and healthy life? The purpose of my senior project was to help people understand the importance of Health and Fitness. It has so many benefits, and many might not even realize.
