No Chromebook-No Problem

Most of the features that are available on the district issued Chromebooks can be utilized using most devices. Families that have access to a PC or Mac can easily support their student's academic needs by downloading the Chrome browser, then having the student login to the browser using their district provided credentials. Many of the apps that are used can also be accessed on a cell phone or table. The key to being able to use the resources is the use of the district credential. The username is the seven digit student number@ bsdstudents.org . The password is the student's first four letters of their last name with the first letter capitalized, then to digits for their birth month, then two digits for their birth day.

For a student named Billy Smithson with a student (lunch) number with 9876543 who was born on July 23 the credential would look like this:

• Username: 9876543@bsdstudents.org
• Password: Simt0723

To enter the username and password launch the Chrome browser, then go to www.google.com. In the right hand corner you should see a sign in button. Click on this and use the district credential as listed above. Be sure that your student adds @bsdstudents after their username.
