We are excited to invite you to join together for the first Bream Bay Kāhui Ako Conference!
The aim of this event is to share some of the amazing mahi that is going on across our Kāhui Ako, to connect and learn from each other and leave buzzing with the possibilities.
The event will be held at Bream Bay College, starting all together in the Auditorium and then breaking out into different rooms for the first two workshops. We will come back together for Morning Tea in the Auditorium.
We will then take in a presentation by Carla McNeil, a Structured Literacy expert who will share some insights on how literacy can be improved for tamariki across our Kāhui Ako from early years to high school. Lunch will then be provided.
The afternoon consists of two more workshop sessions followed by an opportunity to connect back with your teams to plan how you will take your learning from the day back into your kura and action it. You may also like to use this time to connect with someone who you think you could work with on a project across the Kāhui Ako and make a plan for this.
We are really excited to have the opportunity to all come together for the first time in a very long time. If you have any questions, please get in touch with your Within School Leader, Emma or Alex, our Across School Leaders or Wayne, our Lead Principal.
