Design= Curriculum Kit

HEY BREAKTHROUGH! 

Design= Curriculum Kit, a totally self-contained set of worksheets, slides, videos, and more that you can use to introduce your students to the power and potential of a career in design. Plus the kit is built for educators like you—no design experience is necessary!

It was created by a coalition called Diversify by Design (D×D), whose goal is to catalyze racial equity in the design industry. They’ve already reached 1000+ students with early versions of the program.

The Design= Curriculum Kit is 100% free, with 9 engaging lessons, and a variety of resources: 

• Comprehensive teaching materials. The kit is full of examples, worksheets, videos, and content to help support educators and students’ learning. Plus, there are training and orientation materials to provide guidance.

• Flexible curriculum that works with any schedule. Each lesson takes less than 1 hour to prepare and approximately 60 minutes to deliver, but the curriculum can be modified to best fit your schedule or the needs of your students.

• An online community for additional support. Also included is access to the Design= Community, offering additional resources, content, and ways to network and engage with fellow educators.
