B1: Design Specifications
Brainstorm the Key Features that would need to be included in your Everyday Carry bag
These may come from your product analysis or from your analysis of the survey responses
Develop a set of Design Specifications based on this analysis. Consider adding key details so that the Specifications are testable:

Develop a rough outline for how you will test your final product for each of the specifications.

Day 12 (80 minutes)
C2: Technical Skills
Select or create the pattern for the main body fabric of your bag:
If you are making a hip bag - select one of the three size options
If you are making a hip sling- work with your teacher to create a simple paper pattern
Cut your fabric, zippers, and straps to be of an appropriate length.
Follow steps ____ in for the Hip Sling or ____ for the Hip Bag below to assembly the basic construction of your bag

Day 13 (80 minutes)
B4: Planning Diagrams
Consider the Key Features that you identified in your Design Specifications
Work with your base textile product and scrap paper to create paper patterns for your key features
Make sure that your paper patterns include measurements and SEAM ALLOWANCE. You may also use a pencil to mark your base textile product to show where the Key Features will be added.
Take photos of all of this thinking and add it to your B4 Slide

C1: Production Plan
Review and complete the existing Production Plan on the C1 Slide
Prioritize the remaining plan to make sure that you are adding the Key Features that best match your Design Specification.

C2: Technical Skills
Use your paper patterns to develop the most important Key Features for your Everyday Carry bag.
Follow the steps of your Production Plan as you develop your bag and close it for final use.
Take photos to add to your Design Workbook to document your skills.
