Groups being offered throughout the school year:
Family Changes: students facing changes in their family such as separation or divorce
Let's Get Organized: students who need some extra support in organization skills
Shake it Off: GIRLS ONLY group focused on self esteem, confidence, and empowerment
Groups will meet throughout the school year about 1x per month during lunch/recess time and will be coordinated with the student.
Kristin Manghnani is a certified school counselor who has worked in public education for 16 years. She was a Spanish teacher at Benjamin Jepson Magnet School in New Haven for 5 years. Then, she became a school counselor and worked at East Rock Community Magnet School, Lincoln Bassett School, and Wilbur Cross High School, all in New Haven. She joined our Walsh community in 2019. Kristin co-facilitates Student Council and the Yearbook here at Walsh. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Advertising and Spanish Literature from Boston University and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Southern CT State University. She also has her Sixth Year Degree in Educational Leadership from Quinnipiac University. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys yoga and traveling. She resides in North Haven with her two children, Aaron and Nico, who are very active. You will often find them at carnivals and festivals around the CT area!
