First, I know that this is a required course (as I would argue it should be) but World History is my absolute favorite subject. I have found so much wisdom and so many life lessons by studying history and I want the same for you! Probably the most enlightening but often difficult aspect of this class is trying to look at the world and it's past from an alien's perspective. We all have a perceived identity based on social, cultural, economic, or political groups and those identities are important to us. But we are going to try to think bigger than ourselves...think universal...think like an alien (develop historical thinking skills). So welcome.
