Advanced Placement World History (Modern)

Introduction/Thanks:

I want to sincerely thank you for choosing to take this course - World History is my absolute favorite subject. I have found so much wisdom and many life lessons by studying history and I want the same for you! But fair warning, this class is only for those students that are serious about working hard to earn college credit by passing the AP Exam in May. To do so, we must be great readers and writers - not things that the average teenager gets excited about or finds fun. So if you feel up to the task, let's get after it!

Goals:

#1 - Pass the AP Exam in May by developing content knowledge and the craft of Historiography!

#2 - Focus on YOU: Search for personally relevant history lessons and/or words of wisdom/enlightenment. (click on the link below)

#3 - Inquire/challenge your assumptions regarding history!

Materials Needed:

school issued Chromebook
headphones/listening device compatible with your school issued Chromebook

Classroom Rule Emphasis:

All school rules apply in our classroom (see link to BHS rules).
Please use the Hall/Bathroom Pass appropriately. (Sign in and out using the clipboard by the door.)
No cell phones this year! (They must be turned off and kept away per district policy.)
Do not line up at the door at the end of the class period.
