Antiracism and Equity

Brandeis Biochemistry Club is committed to making science a more accessible and equitable place. Although it may seem like it, science is not a meritocracy. Many scientists, both new and experienced, face structural roadblocks that prevent them from being accepted in the scientific world.

Brandeis Biochemistry Club works to tackle discrimination and biases and to dismantle systemic racism in the sciences. All of our Eboard members conduct a month-long antiracism education regimen, in the summer prior to their leadership. We will host events and work with other clubs that promote the voices of underrepresented groups in science.
