Pedagogical workshop "Student Summer 2025"
The third-year students of the Municipal Institution ‘’Balta Pedagogical Vocational College‘’ of the educational and professional degree ‘’Professional Junior Bachelor‘’ and the educational and qualification degree ‘’Bachelor‘’ will soon begin their summer teaching practice in health centres. It is during the summer internship that students can fully demonstrate their abilities and professional competences, as they will work independently as an organising teacher or a tutor of a children's group during the entire shift. So the teachers are faced with an important question: how best to prepare students for summer practice? That is why the college traditionally organises electives and a pedagogical workshop on theoretical and practical training of creative, imaginative, talented counsellors who can make children's lives interesting and full of bright pages of summer holidays. The elective classes help to generalise the psychological and pedagogical knowledge, professional skills and abilities to work with children during summer recreation and rehabilitation.
The pedagogical workshop, which is held for one week, develops students' ability to organise and conduct educational events, holidays, quests, and competitions. The topics of such events are varied. Today, under martial law, most of them are patriotic in nature. The video presentation "We Believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine", the drawing competition "I Love My Motherland", the organised fireworks show "We are your children, Ukraine!", a sports festival "Brave Patriots", a poster contest "We live by the dream of peace", a military sports quest "Everything will be Ukraine!", a scrabble game "I love my country", fairy-tale gatherings "We are from Ukraine", bookcrossing "With Ukraine in our hearts" and a number of other relevant topics. The students were eager to prepare for each day, took an active part in all the events, and showed their creativity and abilities. Creative teachers encouraged students to take an active part in all the planned events.
Pedagogical workshop "Student Summer - 2025. Together to the Victory" left students with good impressions, unforgettable photos, and vivid video clips from the life of one week of summer recreation for children in a school playground or health centre.
The head of the training and production practice, Pecharska V.P., gave a briefing and demonstrated samples of documentation to be kept during the practice.
Occupational safety engineer R.V. Usov conducted a safety briefing to preserve the life and health of students during martial law.
So the students are now looking forward to the start of their summer internship to meet the children and make their holidays interesting and meaningful.

Students of the Balta Pedagogical Professional College creatively realize themselves in various types of pedagogical practice. The following important types of pedagogical practice are carried out in the I-IV courses: "Extracurricular practice", "Trial lessons", "Summer practice in health centers", "The first days of a child at school", "Continuous pre-diploma practice". All types of practice creatively complement each other, forming pedagogical competencies, theoretical knowledge and first professional skills in students.
A sense of novelty, a creative attitude to pedagogical work are inherent in the methodologists of pedagogical practice, among whom are both experienced teachers and young colleagues - trainers of the New Ukrainian School, who conduct active purposeful work on the preparation of a modern teacher - a creative, creative, highly qualified specialist of primary education. The college has created all the necessary conditions for high-quality practical training of future specialists. In addition to lessons and classes on pedagogical practice, students attend optional classes, a pedagogical workshop on preparing students for summer practice, where students are prepared to perform the duties of a counselor and a teacher-organizer. Students have the opportunity to be active participants in field seminars, pedagogical trainings, which are conducted twice a year on the basis of the college by methodologists of the State Educational Service Center "Young Guard", the State Educational Service Center "Artek", the State Educational Service Center "Artek - Carpathians - Bukovel". Here, students develop practical pedagogical skills necessary for successful work in children's centers.
In connection with the implementation of the tasks of the State Standard of Primary Education, cooperation between the educational institution and general educational institutions of the city, district, and region has become even more active.
In the complex of practical training, cooperation between school teachers and college teachers plays an important role: exchange of experience in methodological associations, joint methodological meetings of primary school teachers and subject commissions, participation of school teachers in scientific and practical conferences: "The First Days of a Child at School", "Pre-diploma Practice", "Creative Reports of Summer Pedagogical Practice", etc.
The college pays special attention to continuous pre-diploma pedagogical practice. Here, partnership pedagogy, exchange of innovative initiatives, searches, and improvements in pedagogical skills are noticeably effective. Students, under the guidance of a primary school teacher, conduct interesting lessons, educational activities, competitions, workshops, seminars, and psychological and pedagogical trainings. And at the final conference, they exchange impressions from their work during pre-diploma practice. They give valuable advice to students of other courses: to study the basics of primary education methodology, to actively attend classes in clubs, electives, and special courses, to be creative during all types of pedagogical practice. Graduates prepare a review-exhibition of their first pedagogical achievements: demonstration of video presentations and visual aids, handouts, submit samples of their notes, children's crafts, and a number of photos only complement the creative work and creative ideas of students during their pre-diploma pedagogical practice. Interns systematically organize educational work with primary school students after school hours, organize children's leisure in an interesting way: conduct puppet shows, heuristic conversations, organize excursions to nature, trips to the city museum, involve children in group work. During all types of pedagogical practice, students develop pedagogical competencies that are so necessary for a modern primary school teacher.
Partnership pedagogy, humane pedagogy is a personal initiative of each teacher and student of the college. Innovative initiatives, implementation of creative plans, creative searches, formation of professional skills are possible only when combining theoretical and practical training of future teachers.
Under the reliable protection of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, even in wartime, the state takes care of our children and creates all the conditions for their active recreation. Here, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in creatively organizing children's leisure time and involving children in active recreation. Interns treat each child with care, taking care of their life and health in conditions of martial law.
We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Together we bring Victory closer!
Practical training of students in a pedagogical professional college is an integral part of the professional training of competitive specialists in the field of primary education.
Due to the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, all planned types of pedagogical practice are carried out depending on the situation - in person or remotely. The war has made its own adjustments to the course of students' practical training.
Students actively demonstrate the ability to solve professional tasks based on the computer training received. Modern information technologies allow students to work not only in person, but also create the opportunity for virtual immersion in practical activities during trial lessons and classes, during psychological and pedagogical training, and organizing work in virtual health centers.
Since the full-scale invasion of Russia, pedagogical practice has been carried out mostly in a mixed format. This is mainly due to the form of education of primary school students. And pedagogical practice as a whole depends on the work of the primary school. The topics of the trial lessons, based on the topics, correspond to the problems caused by the war. Each lesson is permeated with our faith in victory over the enemy, words of gratitude to our soldiers, medics, volunteers, and all who defend our sovereignty: “Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, “Glory to Ukraine”, “Glory to the Heroes”, “Everything will be Ukraine”, “Together to Victory”. These sayings have become not just words, but the motto of the life of Ukrainians and take place in lessons and educational events that we conduct for students, and students, in turn, for primary school students. The students successfully coped with all types of pedagogical practice planned for the first semester.
Student reporting documentation, diaries of pedagogical practice, characteristics from basic schools indicate that students of the first bachelor's level of higher education possess appropriate professional competencies. In their reports, students described their experience of undergoing practice in primary school. Pedagogical practice had a positive impact on the development of professional personal qualities of future specialists, who learned to consciously apply psychological and pedagogical theory in the conditions of school education and upbringing in peacetime and during martial law. Practice became an important stage in their professional self-determination. Students note that they were not mistaken in choosing their profession, that the hard work of a teacher is very interesting, requires a lot of effort to become a highly qualified specialist. In the lessons, students skillfully conducted morning meetings, interesting physical education minutes, didactic games, interesting minutes and outdoor games to develop students' attention, thinking, memory, dexterity and endurance. The practice contributed to consolidating students' interest in the teaching profession, as well as the formation of pedagogical abilities.
Together with experienced teachers, the students looked for ways to solve problems in the modern realities of life in Ukraine - they carried out volunteer work, rallied students to collective creative activities, morally supported children during air raids, taught them to help each other and take care of those who need it in such unusual and extremely difficult situations for us. The interns always involved children in interesting educational activities, urged them to believe in victory over the enemy and bring our victory closer with their good deeds.
Pedagogical practice is a mandatory component of professional training of specialists. Its completion is necessary for obtaining the bachelor's qualification level, and in general is aimed at acquiring professional skills and abilities by students.
Students of the first bachelor's level undergo continuous pedagogical practice at the teacher's workplace for six weeks. This type of practice is the final link in the student's practical training, the purpose of which is the student's holistic professional training and assessment of his readiness to work with primary school students. This practice provides the student with the opportunity to fulfill the duties of a specialist in the workplace, to carry out the entire cycle of duties in his specialty, to understand the mechanism of action of the class in which the practice is conducted, the general picture of the entire object of practice. During the practice, theoretical knowledge from all disciplines of the curriculum is deepened, consolidated and realized, material is collected for completing coursework and passing qualifying exams. The skills of planning, organizing and conducting educational work in the New Ukrainian School are being improved, the skills of using innovative learning technologies are being formed, the ability to draw up lesson plans, select video presentations and select various means to achieve effective results.
In conditions of martial law, students are given the opportunity to undergo this type of practice mainly at their place of residence. Some students undergo practice at the Balta Lyceum No. 2.
Pleasant impressions from students, unforgettable photos are the result of the painstaking, creative work of the intern. This indicates that the student is to his or her liking for the chosen profession. And if the work comes from the heart, then the result will be of high quality. Loving children, loving the teaching profession, being able to overcome difficulties is the key to professional pedagogical skill.
