The collection of cultural expressions that members of a specific group, community, or subculture share is called folklore. Oral traditions including proverbs, poems, jokes, tales, myths, and legends fall under this category. Traditions, activities in support of traditional beliefs, and the shapes and traditions of festivals like Christmas, weddings, folk dances, and initiation ceremonies are all included in the category of folklore.
