Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us (mindful.org). There are many ways to practice mindfulness such as meditations, guided imagery, or any activity that allows you to relax your body and mind. The benefits of mindfulness practice include, but are not limited to: reduced anxiety and depression, greater self-control, improved concentration and mental clarity, and enhanced emotional intelligence.
