School Year 2020-2021! This was an exciting start to the school year. Currently there are two cohorts of students: fully remote, 5-days in person. Teachers continue to provide both cohorts with simultaneous teaching and learning. Below you will find some of the apps and links we will use to engage with you and your child if learning remotely.

- Students logged in on Zoom, on time and ready
- Students have access to instructional tools:
- paper, pencils and any instructional materials such as textbooks provided to them.
- Attendance taken student daily and when possible students should turn camera on to greet teacher
- If possible please designate a space for students to work free from distractions during instructional hours.

BPS primarily uses two applications to host apps and websites for students: Clever and Google Classroom. Students log in using their BPS Gmail (______@bostonk12.org) and BPS password.
If you are unsure about your student’s email or password, view our password tip sheet or contact our BPSTechnology Help Desk at 617-635-9200.

Clever
Clever, or the BPS Digital Backpack, is a “portal” where you can access many online learning apps used by the district or your student’s school or classroom teachers. Your student's Clever portal will have apps in all major content areas. Go to www.bostonpublicschools.org/backpack and log in using your BPS Gmail and password.

Google Classroom
Google Classroom is an online classroom where students can access resources and assignments shared by their teachers. Go to classroom.google.com and sign in with your BPS Gmail and password.

Hennigan finishes the year strong with a new mascot!
With the newly assembled Student Government Association, their first project was to invite the student body in the process of selecting, designing and voting on a new mascot. After numerous submissions, the students voted-we are proudly the Hennigan Hawks! Stay tuned for new Hawk apparel.
