The Boston Public Schools District is committed to providing students, families, and educators with the resources and the adequate and necessary support services while students are learning in a remote or hybrid setting.
EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENTS DURING ONLINE LEARNING
It is recommended that students turn off other distractions such as other electronic devices and television. This way students can be as present as possible.
Students must keep their computer microphone muted when they are not speaking.
Upon entering the class, students must keep their video on until attendance is taken.
Students should be advised to use the chat box to ask questions.
In large group discussions, students must raise their hand to speak or click the icon "raise hand" under participants.
Students are expected to be kind, respectful, and inclusive while learning virtually. The same classroom expectations apply to online meetings with BPS teachers and support staff.
