Gemini and NotebookLM are available in Clever for all staff and most students in grades 7 and up. As part of Google’s core services, they provide data privacy protections and do not train their models on our data. K-5/6 schools without access to Gemini or NotebookLM should reach out to BPSTechnology (helpdesk.mybps.org) and put in a ticket to request access for their whole school or specific grades.
ChatGPT and most AI sites have been blocked for students on BPS Chromebooks and with their BPS emails. Students are advised to use tools that are on BPS’s approved AI tools list (such as Gemini).
Staff and students should only use tools marked as Secure (🔒) when using AI with student or staff data or confidential information. IEP information should not be entered into any tool except Solara.
