AI Fellows Program

The AI Fellows Program, a collaboration between the BPS Digital Learning Team and the BPS Teaching & Learning Department, began in Spring 2025 with its first cohort of over 30 Boston Public School educators and instructional leaders. The program invites educators to explore, test, and refine AI tools that align with district priorities. Participants evaluate AI tools for teaching and learning, apply tools in classrooms, document their progress in an Educator Journal, and summarize learning in a case study presented as a slidedeck and short video.

This initiative centers on teacher agency and district-wide AI coherence, ensuring that AI tools:

 ✅ Support curriculum and instructional goals (HQIM, UDL, multilingual learners, students with disabilities).

 ✅ Prioritize responsible use (privacy, equity, bias mitigation).

 ✅ Provide actionable insights for AI integration in BPS.
