About the Office of Data & Accountability

We serve the BPS community by facilitating access to quality information and building capacity to make data-driven decisions that advance educational equity, opportunity, and achievement for all students.


Department Priorities

  1. Provide high-quality, relevant, and timely data and reports to all stakeholders in BPS.
  2. Lead an ambitious research agenda that advances educational equity, opportunity, and achievement for all students.
  3. Define, articulate, and support a comprehensive assessment strategy for BPS.
  4. Provide differentiated data inquiry support to schools districtwide.
  5. Build and foster the necessary culture for a performance management system in BPS.

Session Description: Build shared understanding of Next-Generation District and School Accountability System. Provide opportunity for school leaders to reflect and craft messaging for their school communities about accountability changes and build shared understanding of the purpose of the BPS Performance Meter and the metrics.
