Algebra 3 - 1 credit
To further advance a student's study of mathematics, Algebra 3 is designed for college-bound students who have successfully completed Algebra 2. The course includes routine problems requiring advanced algebra and non-routine problems that require students to demonstrate understanding of concepts. Specific knowledge on linear and quadratic equations; inequalities and graphs; algebraic, exponential and logarithmic functions; and other miscellaneous topics are investigated. Students may have the opportunity to take a CLEP test at the end of this course if certain grade and performance criteria are met throughout the semester.
(Prerequisites: Algebra 2 and/or qualifying ACT math score)
