The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education or high school equivalency. At Job Corps, students have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas for up to two years. In addition to helping students complete their education, obtain career technical skills and gain employment, Job Corps also provides transitional support services, such as help finding employment, housing, child care, and transportation.
We have added two new trades to the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center! Pharmacy Technician and Computer Technician Network+.
Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center Offers:
Electrical
Carpentry
Facilities Maintenance (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
Security and Protective Services (advanced training available on center as well)
Certified Nursing Assistant
Pharmacy Technician
Computer Technician Network+
Epic Flight Academy, located at CVG, will host an Open House for students and families interested in learning more about becoming an Aviation Mechanic. This 18–19-month program leads to an FAA license, with starting wages around $70,000 per year.
