The Dual Credit and Work Ready scholarships are now available for students to apply. Students have until October 1st to get this completed. Please note that the scholarship is not instantly applied to their account. Normally, the scholarship will go in their school account around the middle to the end of October. A couple of notes:

• I have set up RAP workshops on Tuesday and Thursday for the next two weeks (9/9, 9/11, 9/16, 9/18)  for students to sign up for to get help. They may also stop by during the day.

• Students will need to know their Social Security number to set up their accounts. Please make sure your social security number is correct because if you put in the wrong social then you will not be able to apply and will have to call KHEAA.

• Students will not be able to make changes once they submit their preferences; therefore, please make sure you have selected the correct school and semester. Below are examples of classes and how you would mark the scholarship.

• If you have already paid this semester and select the scholarship for the fall, then they will reimburse you. Normally takes a month or two to get back, but you should receive it in the form that you paid. 

• Students only get two dual credit scholarships for the whole school year. When students make their account, I recommend using a personal email since they lose their Boone County School’s email after graduation.

• If you are submitting preferences for both the DCS and WKDC programs, you’ll need to go through the process once using the DCS link and then again using the WKDC link. Keep in mind that DCS can only be used for General Education courses this year, and WKDC can only be used for qualifying Career and Technical Education dual credit courses.
