Mrs. Heather McDougall

Mrs. McDougall is starting her 25th year in Education. She has been a High School Counselor for 15 years. She also taught Math at Conner High School for 6 years and Cooper High School for 4 years. Mrs. McDougall is a Conner graduate and is excited to be in the community she loves. Mrs. McDougall has a 6 year old daughter who take up most of her time outside of school. She loves spending time with family, taking walks, traveling and all things Disney.

Mrs. Katie Saunders
9th Grade
Freshman Mentors
Mrs. Saunders will be starting her 13th year as a School Counselor in 2026-27 and 19th year at Boone County Schools. Mrs. Saunders loves working in the community where she grew up as she attended Goodridge Elementary, Conner Middle and Conner High School (2003). Outside of school, she loves going to the gym, walking her dogs, reading a great book, and cheering on FC Cincinnati and the Kentucky Wildcats. Her oldest attends Western Kentucky University and her youngest attends Conner High School.

Mrs. Lauren Broering
10th Grade
12th Grade: Last Names: J-Z
The 2026–2027 school year will mark Mrs. Broering’s fifth year as a school counselor at Conner High School. Prior to becoming a counselor, she served as a Special Education teacher at Conner High School for two and a half years. Mrs. Broering is a proud 2014 graduate of Conner High School. Born and raised in Petersburg, she has a deep appreciation for and connection to the community. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, crafting, and caring for her many plants.
