Senior Year Timeline:

• Summer:

  • Research colleges that interest you

  • Go on campus visits

• Fall: 

  • Complete admissions applications by priority deadline to maximize chance for scholarships/acceptance

  • Application Checklist: 

    • Application/Application Fee

    • Send Test Scores

    • Send Transcripts

• Late Fall/Winter:

  • Apply to College

  • More College Visits/College Representative Visits to Conner

  • Complete the FAFSA

    • Grants: based on need, do not need to pay back

    • Scholarships: based on ability/talent/achievement

    • Work Study: Part-time employment to earn additional wages

  • Look into college financials/cost of attendance

  • Look for scholarships to apply for

    • Institutional scholarships: come directly from college

    • Private scholarships: come from an outside source/community

• Spring:

  • Make a decision on what school you want to attend

    • May 1st- National College Decision Day

  • If more funds are needed- consider student loans and apply for additional scholarships

  • Send your final complete transcript to your college
