Thank you for clicking on here to learn more about me. As you can see... I love my dogs! You'll hear a lot about them this year :). I will be getting to know you throughout the year and I think it is only fair you know a little bit about me as well.
I currently live in Parsonsfield, ME with my husband and my two rescue dogs. I am originally from Chocorua/Tamworh, NH and prior to that I briefly lived in Oklahoma. I came to Maine to go to college; St. Joseph's College. There I met my husband, Paul. We both love Maine and chose to stay. I began working at Bonny Eagle right out of college and I just love the middle school. I have taught in Cunningham Clan, McIver Clan, Campbell Clan (my family name), I did a literacy program and taught Allied Arts for a few years, and now back to Cunningham again - right back where I started! I may have had some of your siblings (or parents!) but they may know me as Miss Wilkinson which is my maiden name. I am entering my twenty eighth year at Bonny Eagle AND my twenty eigth year in the 6th grade! I am also the Cunningham Clan Leader.
Here at school you might see me in other places besides my classroom. You will often see me hanging around with my 7th and 8th grade Pathfinder teams in the spring. I like to hang out in the library looking for another book to read. At home you would be likely to find me hiking, canoeing, gardening, thrifting, walking the dogs or curling up with a great book on my hammock. My husband and I rescue dogs that need lot of training and care. Right now we have Barney; our very sweet and cute beagle boy. Dolly is our jabberwocky dog. She is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. She looks big and silly but is so very sweet. There is a lot of howling going on at my house!
At school I enjoy having fun and love a good sense of humor! I try to make learning as fun as possible and if you are tricky enough you can get me sidetracked if you mention my dogs, a great mountain hike, or a fun moose story! I love getting up and coming to work. There is never a dull moment in the 6th grade! I cannot wait to meet my new students this year. I always get excited for a new school year.
