Yippee! You made it to Mr. Bishop's page. In Cunningham we always tell our students "Have each others' backs". It is so true in life. As teachers we always have each others' backs as well. You will see us helping each other often. Here is the perfect example. Mr. Bishop is a hands on teacher and jack of all trades. I am putting together his bio page for him. You will not see him on social media, his cell phone, or even on a computer very much. But you will see him teaching with a smile and helping every single member of Cunningham and beyond.
If you are on his caseload this year- lucky you! He is an amazing teacher and the best at what he does. Get ready to have some fun and laugh a lot. Practice your quick come-backs. It is a fast way to earn his respect! :)
Mr. Bishop has been with Cunningham for seven years, but much longer at BEMS! He loves his job and working with all students. You will see him going from classroom to classroom throughout the day helping students and teachers alike. Look for the tall guy hovering over desks! You will rarely see him sitting at his desk. You will often hear, "Joe Bishop, call 227". That means he is needed in a hurry somewhere else but he always comes back to help his students. He really does need a cape! :)
We are not sure what Mr. Bishop likes to do at home. He seems to always be here! Ask him and let us know. I do know his wife makes delicious cookies and cookie bars. I am guessing when he is not hanging out with his daughters and wife he sleeps a lot because he works so hard at school.
At home, I like to read and do crossword puzzles. I look forward to working with all the lucky students in the Cunningham Clan. They have the best group of teachers in 6th grade!!
