Enrollment Information for the 2024-2025 School Year
If you wish to enroll a new student in the Bonita Unified School District for attendance during the 2024-2025 school year, to begin attending in August 2024, information and timelines can be found below
TRANSFER PERMITS AND ENROLLMENT USING EMPLOYMENT (ALLEN BILL) BEGINS FEBRUARY 15, 2024
If any of the following apply, you can request a transfer permit or enrollment under the Allen Bill:
the student resides within the boundaries of another school district but you want to request enrollment in a Bonita USD school
the student resides within the district but you want to request enrollment in a school other than their neighborhood school
one or both parents/guardians are employed within the boundaries of Bonita USD and you want to enroll a student using the address of your employer
NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT BEGINS MARCH 1, 2024
If you have a child who will be attending a Bonita USD school for the first time, the enrollment process will begin March 1, 2024. If you are requesting enrollment through a transfer permit or using an employment address, you must have received approval through that process before you can begin the new student enrollment process.
TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN
The transitional kindergarten program for the 2024-2025 school year will be available to all students who turn 4 on or before September 1, 2024 and are not already enrolled in another program within the district. If the program approaches capacity district-wide, priority enrollment will be offered to students who can establish residency within the Bonita Unified School District and who turn 4 on or before June 1, 2024.
Enrollment will be available at all elementary sites within the district, but some sites will have limited seats available. If requests for a school exceed the number of seats available at that school, priority for enrollment will be offered to students who can establish residency within the Bonita Unified School District that already have a sibling attending the requested school and to students for whom the school is their neighborhood school.
