BLAST Preschool Program

Building Lifelong Academic Skills Together (BLAST) Preschool is a language rich program for 3 year old children taught by an early childhood special education teacher with the support of two instructional paraeducators. The staff is knowledgeable on how to differentiate curriculum to fit each student’s needs through hands on activities, play and positive support from staff and family.  Each class consists of both children who are typical learners as well as children with special needs.

Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am – 11:00 am, with classes located at Grace Miller Elementary School in La Verne and Shull Elementary School in San Dimas.

A three year old student with an IEP may be assigned to this program through the IEP. Those students identified as special education must be evaluated and meet specific eligibility criteria. For more information, please contact the Department of Specialized Services at 909 971-8330 ext. 5345.

General education students can also access this program through a fee-based system, with monthly payment ranging from $80 - $360 per month depending on the days of instruction each month.
