Benefit-eligible employees are eligible for Change in Employee Compensation (C.E.C.) each new fiscal year of their employment, beginning in July. Coordinate with your supervisor and/or the RRC Office Services Administrator for support with the following as needed.
Mandatory Training: As a condition of employment at Boise State, you may be required to complete mandatory training including Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Cyber Security, Respectful Workplace, Clery Act, and other training, usually within your first 30 days of employment. You will automatically receive emails about required training. Direct any questions about mandatory training to hr@boisestate.edu. Additionally, you may need to coordinate with your supervisor about IACUC and lab safety training.
Off-Road Vehicles: See RRC Fleet Information website, complete required departmental forms and return them to the RRC office, consent to a Motor Vehicle Record background check, and complete off-road driver training including hands-on driving training.
IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) Training & Wildlife Permits: Coordinate with your supervisor to complete any required IACUC training for your position and to have your name added to wildlife handling permits as needed.
Purchase Cards: Obtain a p-card if your role calls for its use after consulting with your supervisor. Visit the P-card Training page to orient yourself to university policy and procedures and refer to these resources regularly.
Employee Travel: Review the Introduction to Employee Travel if you will be traveling during your work, near or far, and ensure that RRC administration has arranged for your Travel Authorizations. If you will have Expense Reports, please see Adding or Updating Direct Deposit Information for Expense Reports, and note that this is a different process than setting up direct deposits for payroll. Additionally, you will need to add the RRC's Research Center Administrator as a delegate so they can submit your Expense Report, and then you will need to review the submitted expense report and View and Take Action on the Expense Report.
University Financials: If you have an office position involving financial transactions, carefully study University Financials 101 and Bronco Hub Self-Guided Training.
Animals on Campus: See Policy 9160 - Animals on Campus for complete information about service animals, service animals in training, and companion pets on campus. Employees who plan to have a pet with them on campus in an individual work space must first complete an Animals on Campus Pet Request Form.
When your time and service at the Raptor Research Center is coming to an end, please review the information from the university's Human Resources on End of Employment.
