9TH AND 8TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL
8th and 9th grade volleyball players have been let loose to compete in their games this season. They are hyped and ready to give 110% in every game. This season will be an exciting one with new strategies and more enthusiasm. The 8th grade A team is pumped to have Mrs. Roper back coaching them. Both teams have successful wins under their belts and are prepared to win even more. The Freshmen team is going to be lethal with their coach Mrs. Holder.
Lets hope that their next games go well and they can take a win home for the team! The players are proud to wear blue, green, and white for the school to show everyone who will leave with a victory. It's hard for all athletes to balance school, sports, and life, but these girls make it look easy.
Mrs. Roper tells us that her favorite thing about coaching is getting to see students personalities outside the classroom, and having different interactions. It's never fun to lose a game, but Mrs. Roper always tells her players that they need to be good winners, and good losers -- to show the other team kindness no matter what.
The 8th grade team has a goal of making it to districts this season and to achieve this, they must learn to communicate on the court, encourage each other, and acknowledge the mistakes they make to learn from them so they can be the best of the best.
Mrs. Holder says that it's important to focus on the positives from a game, and working together to move forward. Volleyball is a hard sport that takes perseverance, communication, and teamwork. Not everyone has what it takes, but these courageous girls have proven that they do.
As the season goes on, we wish the best of luck to all the teams to compete and play with their whole heart and give all their effort. GO BLAZERS!!!

Hand off! You have finally got the ball. You see a gap and run for it, but then out of the blind side comes another kid faster and stronger -- but not smarter you. Juke him, and run as fast as you can, TOUCHDOWN!!!
Intramural sports, I wonder what they are. I am going to tell you all about them. One thing that is good is that it is during lunch, so if you have a sport going on in the afternoon you can still play. You sign up by either going to your grad classroom in google classroom as an individual or a team. You can make up a team name too. The first sport is football which started last Monday but if you missed the deadline for sign ups that's okay because the next sports come right after the football season. The amount of time a sport plays depends on how many teams there are, but they usually last about a month.
Sports that are in the intramural year are Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wiffleball, Ultimate Frisbee and Tennis. But why, why these sports? Mrs. Holder, the advisor of intramural sports, says they do what corresponds with the regular season of the actual sports like Flag Football during Football. They can’t do every sport though because their supplies are limited since they share supplies with P.E.
Well, Intramurals are so fun and I hope you join!
