In health and physical education, having a growth mindset means believing that you can improve your skills and abilities through hard work and practice. It’s okay to make mistakes—they’re part of learning and getting better! Instead of saying, “I can’t do this,” try saying, “I can’t do this yet.” Focus on putting in the effort, trying new strategies, and staying positive, even when things feel tough. Remember, every step you take, no matter how small, brings you closer to your goals. Keep pushing yourself, and you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve!
This year students will take part in a range of fun, challenging HPE units. They’ll build key skills through athletics, invasion games, basketball, volleyball, badminton, pickleball, softball, touch, and fitness training.
Students will also develop water confidence in aquatics and kayaking, while our Sexuality Education unit supports safe, healthy relationships and wellbeing.
A balanced programme designed to grow skill, confidence, teamwork, and overall hauora.
