Primary Objectives:
1. To implement the curriculum effectively in the subject area of responsibility;
2. To manage, direct, support and supervise all teaching and non-teaching staff assigned to faculty with close regard to the Teaching Standards as the expression of our professional knowledge and values;
3. To manage all meetings and resources efficiently and effectively;
4. To liaise closely with the Senior Leadership Team on all aspects related to curriculum issues and faculty issues;
5. To organise correctly and efficiently all documentation related to the administration of assessments following NZQA guidelines and school policies;
6. To promote the faculty and the subject effectively within the school and at any community functions or meetings;
7. To supervise the writing of yearly target reflections and new targets and to analyse and share this data with school, community and Ministry personnel when required and to assist in the school meeting School Charter Targets and MOE national goals;
8. To be an effective classroom practitioner who can model, assist and advise faculty colleagues with their teaching effectiveness according to the Teaching Standards;
9. To carry out any delegated and specific responsibilities requested by the Principal appropriate to their status as a Middle Manager, as negotiated.
