Starting in 2020 ...
We will start working on the plans with our Turkish partners in April. In parallel to finalising the ideas, we have started looking for potential partners. Fortunately, we quickly found partners with similar values, who care about the environment as much as we do. They agreed on the main objectives of the project, so we started to prepare the application and the Hungarian school, as coordinator, submitted the application to the Erasmus Hungarian National Agency.
After a few months of exciting anticipation, in the summer we got the happy news: we won the grant!
Title of our project is:
Act like a pro, preserve H2O!
We planned next activities and project meetings:
Several factors made the implementation difficult: due to a coronavirus epidemic, we could only start in 2022. Following the epidemic, the Russian-Ukrainian war also caused problems. The tragic earthquake in Turkey in 2023 was another obstacle.
Overcoming all the problems, the original objectives were achieved almost without exception.
The results will be published on this website and a summary booklet will be produced for the schools' bookshelves.
I would like to thank the teachers and students of all the partners, the school leaders, the supportive parents and the local urban communities for bringing the competition to a successful conclusion.
In addition to the scientific and pedagogical achievements, we have also gained a lot of experiences, got to know each other, made friends and built bridges between our countries and cities.
We ask everyone who visits this website to help save water, one of the Earth's most precious resources!
