Water and Art
1th project meeting - Hungary
How can the concepts of water and art be linked?
It is easy to...
Water, with its presence on earth, not only provides the basis for life, but also delights us with its diverse forms. It can be found in various artistic disciplines (music, painting, literature), but its constructive work can also be seen in nature, for example in the fascinatingly beautiful shapes of its crops. In Hungary, water has created caves of great beauty in the limestone mountains. The observation of these precious formations provides many educational opportunities for schools: aesthetics, water chemistry, and cave drawing,
Almost all of the Hungarian meeting's activities were devoted to the theme of "Water and Art".
Several groups of students presented theatrical performances, and students from the art school performed instrumental pieces about water.
We observed the nature-shaping work of water (and its artistic connection) in the Aggtelek stalactite cave.
Figure skating and ice dancing are the favourites of millions around the world. Sport and art, music and movement - all on the surface of frozen water. We looked and tried skating on ice.
We were able to observe the wonders of aquatic life at the Ököcentrum.
The participants of the meeting also made their own keyring, in the shape of the project's logo - the water droplet.
