Fun with Movement: Building Strength and Coordination

Gross motor skills help children grow strong, move with confidence, and stay active. These skills involve big movements like jumping, running, and climbing, which are important for daily activities.

This week, learners will enjoy an exciting Obstacle Course Adventure! They will crawl through tunnels, walk on balance beams, hop across spots, and climb small hurdles. This fun activity helps them improve balance, coordination, and body control while having a great time.

Active play not only keeps children fit but also helps them think, focus, and work together. Let’s keep moving and learning!

Early Years Show & Tell: Learning Through Speaking

Our young learners participated in a fun and engaging Show & Tell activity, where they confidently shared their thoughts on different topics. Nursery children spoke about "My Family," joyfully describing their parents, siblings, and loved ones. LKG learners explored "Water and Its Resources," discussing the importance of water and ways to save it. UKG students talked about "Places in Our Neighbourhood," learning about different places like schools, parks, and hospitals.

This activity helped children improve their speaking skills, build confidence, and express their ideas creatively. It was wonderful to see them learn and grow through meaningful conversations!

Reflection Route: A Path to Growth and Learning

BMCS recently hosted the Reflection Route, a learner-led conference for Grades 1 to 5, where students took center stage to showcase their learning journeys. This event empowered our young learners to articulate their understanding, reflect on their progress, and take ownership of their learning.

With confidence and enthusiasm, students guided their parents and teachers through various learning experiences, demonstrating skills acquired across subjects and transdisciplinary themes. Interactive presentations, portfolios, and hands-on displays brought their learning to life, fostering meaningful discussions about growth and challenges.

Parents witnessed firsthand the depth of inquiry-based learning at BMCS, strengthening the home-school connection. The Reflection Route was not just an event—it was a celebration of student agency, self-reflection, and continuous learning. As we continue to nurture lifelong learners, this event reaffirmed our commitment to fostering curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking in every child. 

Holi Celebration at BMCS: Colors, Stories, and Joy!

At BMCS, our learners celebrated Holi with great excitement and enthusiasm! The celebration began with an audio-visual story of Prahlad, helping them understand the significance of the festival. After this, each child wrote one negative trait about themselves and symbolically burned it in the fire, just like in the story, to embrace positivity and growth.

The festivities continued with a joyful dance performance, filling the atmosphere with energy and happiness. Finally, the children played Holi with flowers, enjoying the vibrant spirit of the festival in a fun and eco-friendly way. It was a beautiful celebration filled with laughter, learning, and togetherness!

Coffee Mornings: Reflecting on Growth and Looking Ahead

Our recent Coffee Morning at BMCS brought parents and teachers together in a warm, informal setting. During the Parent-Teacher Meeting and Open House, parents enjoyed coffee while reviewing their child’s progress and discussing the key points of their report cards. Teachers shared valuable insights, and families had the chance to discuss achievements, challenges, and plans for the future.

It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year’s growth and look forward to new possibilities in the coming year.

Women’s Day Celebration at BMCS

On March 8th, BMCS celebrated Women’s Day with great enthusiasm, honoring the incredible mothers in our community. The event began with Reflection Route, where moms participated in an engaging journey of self-discovery and appreciation. Exciting games were set up, creating moments of joy and laughter as mothers competed in friendly challenges. The atmosphere was filled with positivity, togetherness, and celebration of womanhood.

To add to the experience, a delightful refreshment corner was arranged, allowing moms to relax, connect, and cherish the special occasion. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the strength, love, and resilience of the women who play a vital role in shaping our children’s lives. BMCS extends gratitude to all the wonderful mothers who joined us, making this celebration a memorable one.
